開學前，看著身邊已為人父母的朋友們個個忙於為小朋友買校服、搜羅課本。還以為開學後，可以鬆一口氣，誰不知他們又開始為孩子的 補品班 張羅！有見及此，今次就為家長們找來三個不同的精讀班，從而幫助小朋友在課堂上更易吸收課本知識，對學業和功課也有所助益！

中、英、數中，數學科最令人頭痛，要小孩子面對一條又一條的繁複數學題，的確很難令他們感興趣，除非可以讓他們感受到學數學也有其好玩的地方，而且並非如想像中般艱難！數猴皇醒目兒童教育中心的吠陀數學(Vedic Math)，便是透過遊戲，配合十六個不同的法則，讓小朋友可以開心、輕易、極速地學到如何計算繁複的數學題。

K3學會計乘數

這種源自於古印度學者的速算方法，是建基於16條法測，而這些法則，是來自數學間各種有趣的關係。小朋友只要明白到這16個法則的有趣關係後，然後適當地獨立或配合運用在不同的數學題上，即使多繁複的數學題，年紀再小的孩子，也可以在短短數秒間準確地得出答案。簡單來說，就是要學懂把複雜的數學簡單化！據中心的導師表示，其實每一條數學可以有很多不同

的計算方法，而他們就是要鼓勵孩子自己去思考，找出每一條數不同的計算方法，然後用自己認為最容易又最快的方法來計算。只要他們懂得分析、拆解，經過長時間訓練而變得純熟，即使面對多複雜的數學題，一樣可以像神童般以極速計出答案。

這十六個法則，其實並非甚麼難明的數學理論，只要記著當中的竅門便可。例如其中一個叫 Magic Eleven ，所有數字乘11的都可以用這個來拆解。方法很簡單，例如43×11，只要先把用來乘11的兩個數字，即4和3先寫在頭和尾，然後把4和3加起來，亦即7寫在中間便可，所以答案就是473。為了讓孩子克服計數的恐懼心理，課堂上，導師會透過四十多個不同的遊戲和教材，讓他們在開心的心情下學習，一來可以讓他們更投入學習，二來又可以加深理解和印象。所以每次上課，導師會先跟小朋友來一輪熱身，然後便是玩遊戲，最後做練習，加深小孩子當日所學的課題。每一堂，小朋友都有新遊戲，學到新課題，透過群體遊戲，還可以同時訓練他們的思考速度、邏輯推理、記憶、專注力、合群、溝通等不同方面的發展。

Karen Chu studied in Math Monkey Education Center of Kowloon Bay for a period of time.  We can see her improvement during her study.  She always tries her best to solve the math questions in class and gives the reasons to teacher on why she is doing like this.  We can see her confidence in doing math is increasing.  Besides, she always tries to use different methods to solve a question which include the Vedic way and the school way.  Karen always shows a positive attitude to play game.  She will not give up trying if she is losing.  Not only this, she is a good helper to assistance students whose age are younger than her.  We are happy to see her every week and appreciated that she can be the star of month in July.  Congratulation, Karen!
